| BEATLES 1963 ROYAL COMMAND PERFORMANCE PROGRAM:
The complete Royal Command Performance Program from November 4th 1963 that is signed by John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Brian Epstein and several others!!!
The program measures approximately 8.5" by 12" and is in Very Good+ condition. The cover was obviously handled by many different people the night of the show and there are some light fingerprints on the cover; maybe a Beatle!!! There are a couple of tiny edge tears on the cover about 1/2 way down in the middle on the very outer edge. The inside pages are in Excellent condition as is the page The Beatles signed. Ringo Starr didn't sign the program but we have an exceptionally nice full Ringo autograph to go with the program to make a full set of Beatles autographs.
The Ringo Starr autograph is quite large and impressive measuring nearly 5" long and was written in black ballpoint pen on a large 8" by 10" white sheet of paper. Brian Epstein nicely signed the cover in dark ballpoint pen and has written "lots of love" above his signature. The Beatles each signed really nicely inside the program next to their photos also in black ballpoint pen. This is the famous concert where The Beatles performed in front of The Queen of England at The Royal Command Variety Performance.
The Beatles this night were being exposed bigger than ever as nearly every Britain was tuned in on the Telley to watch. Before playing their final number, John Lennon asked the audience for their help and blurted out the now famous line: "for the people in the cheaper seats, clap your hands, and if the rest of you would just rattle your jewelry"!. This famous moment in time was frozen forever in the minds of all Beatles fans and is immortalized forever on The Beatles Anthology.
The program is complete with all 50 pages and includes the original blue cloth string and tassels that were made with this program. There were 19 different acts that performed that night with The Beatles being number 7. This program is also signed by 5 other acts who performed including Marlene Dietrich.
This item will be accompanied with 2 LOA (Letters of Authenticity) from the number 1 Beatles autograph expert in the world, Frank Caiazzo of The Beatles Autographs; one for the program and one for the separate Ringo Starr autograph. This would make an incredible display item having all 4 Beatles autographs plus their manager Brian Epstein!!! |
